Dr. Karl Ryan Rosell

Dr. Karl Ryan Rosell is a highly accomplished Board-Certified Endodontist with extensive experience in both clinical practice and military service. He completed his Endodontic Residency at the University of Iowa School of Dentistry from 2020 to 2022, solidifying his expertise in advanced endodontic procedures. Dr. Rosell’s academic foundation also includes a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Herman Ostrow USC School of Dentistry and a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Biological Sciences from California Polytechnic State University.

Dr. Rosell’s dedication to continuing education is evident through his participation in numerous endodontic rotations and externships, including the Spears Study Club and specialized courses like Planmeca CBCT, the Fort Gordon Endo/Perio/Pros Short Course, and the Acute Pain Management and Opioid Prescribing course. These programs have honed his ability to deliver exceptional patient care in complex endodontic cases, including molar endodontics and surgical endodontic procedures.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Rosell brings a wealth of leadership experience from his time as an Endodontic Surgical Specialist in the U.S. Army, where he performed root canal procedures in partnership with veterinary specialists on military working dogs for Public Health Command-Hawaii. His leadership roles extended beyond the clinic, serving as Junior Officer Liaison to the Corps Chief for DHA-Hawaii and Radiation Protection Officer. His military service has earned him several prestigious accolades, including being named the Honor Graduate of the Captain's Career Course and earning the Gold Award for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

Dr. Rosell’s passion for excellence goes beyond the clinic and into the community. He has actively participated in humanitarian missions across multiple countries, including USC AYUDA missions to Terra Bella, CA, Rosarito, Mexico, and Cartagena, Colombia, providing critical dental care to underserved populations. His commitment to helping others reflects his holistic approach to dentistry, emphasizing patient comfort, care, and high standards of endodontic treatment.

Dr. Rosell also maintains an active lifestyle and is a seasoned triathlete, competing in the IRONMAN 70.3 Hawaii and vying for a position on the All Army Triathlon Team. His dedication to endurance sports mirrors his relentless pursuit of professional growth and clinical mastery.
